Margarita Safari: "Thanks for grant support, I was able to stage the play "Mowgli" in my region, the main performers were children with disabilities"

Margarita Safari came to Orenburg for the III International Youth Forum "Eurasia Global" as a resident of Bashkortostan. She dreamed of putting on a play with the participation of children with disabilities and brought the theater project "Catharsis" to the forum. The forum allowed the project to be implemented. She talks about the way before and after the forum in her interview.

What was the main reason for your participation in the forum?
- I learned about this forum from my friends. This is place where guys from different countries successfully communicate with each other. My friends said that this is a cool forum that will help find like-minded people and will give a material opportunity to implement specific ideas. I have been working on the adaptation of special children to society. Also, theater is one of the ways through which children learn to interact with the world. I brought and defended my theater project at the forum, which received grant support.

How did your project develop further?
- Thanks for grant support, I was able to stage the play "Mowgli" in my region, the main performers were children with disabilities. I consider this performance as a tool for these guys to develop communication skills and general socialization. It’s important fact that this project continues to live now.

From your point of view, what is the main idea of the forum?
- I think that each participant finds his own answer for himself. It all depends on the internal request. Thanks to the forum, I realized that nothing is impossible! The main thing is to be confident in your goal. Goal is creative, carries a positive charge, due to the world around you becomes kinder and better. I realized that through my ideas and projects I can benefit the world.

What has changed in your life and in you after the forum?
- I began to trust the world and myself, I believed in my strength. I became more confident and courageous. This allowed me to move to St. Petersburg. Now I am the ambassador of the Rosmolodezh grant’s project, lecturer in social design, press secretary of the organizing committee of the series of the military historical festival "Forgotten Feat". All this things fills me and motivates me for the future self-development and creation.
