The finalists of the Rosmolodezh grant competition were defined at Eurasia Global

On August 17 Orenburg hosted the Closing ceremony of the International Youth Forum ‘Eurasia Global’, which has brought together 800 young people from around the world. These are leaders of public opinion, young specialists and professionals engaged in their activities in the field of international youth cooperation, representatives of foreign youth.

At the official closing, the results of the Grant competition of youth initiatives of Rosmolodezh were summed up and projects-applicants for grant support were announced, as well as certificates with recommended amounts were awarded to their authors.

The competition was held in the nomination ‘Involvement of young people in social practice and informing young people about the possibilities of self-development’ in 9 areas: student initiatives; volunteering; development of social elevators; initiatives of creative youth; patriotic education; sports, healthy lifestyle, tourism; prevention of negative occurrences in the youth environment and international cooperation; strengthening of family values; youth media.

During the Forum, Federal experts of the Rosmolodezh Grant competition held consultations with authors of ideas from all over the country, 66 projects were presented at public defenses.

‘If a participant sees a problem in society, knows how to solve it, pursues the goal to benefit society with his/her initiative, then all that remains for him/her is to draw up the project correctly. Only the projects, the implementation of which will have a positive impact on society, region, country can receive a grant support from the state’,said Alexandra Pervova, the chief expert of the Department of grant support of the Regional cooperation Department of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs.

As a result of the public protection of projects, 12 participants of the Forum from 11 territory subjects of the Russian Federation were recommended to receive grant support for a total amount of more than 4.5 million rubles.

Among the finalists are Nina Vitkovskaya, a music teacher and a theater director from Pskov region, who presented a project ‘Sound’ - an audiobook and an audio performance for the blind and visually impaired to the court of experts.

‘We intend to make the works of regional poets and writers, performances of regional theaters accessible to blind and visually impaired people. The team of volunteers headed by professionals will record at least 10 audio books of Pskov authors and at least 3 audio performances of regional theaters. The received video materials will be transferred to libraries for the blind and visually impaired in Pskov, Velikie Luki, Nevel and Pechora’, said the author.

Experts highly appreciated the idea of organizing the International Festival ‘Meteorite Dance Festival’ by Polina Buss from Chelyabinsk region.

‘This is an international project created by the joint efforts of the Calabria Arte Association, Italy, and the creativity center of the South Ural State University. Educational, competitive and guest programs are planned in the framework of the festival. The project aims to promote the art of modern dance in the Chelyabinsk region and the Ural Federal district as a whole by attracting the best Russian and foreign teachers, as well as make available to Russian youth visiting educational dance programs prepared by foreign choreographers’,shared her project Polina.

The International Youth Forum ‘Eurasia Global’ is held for the fourth time and is one of the six forum platforms, which on behalf of the President of the Russian Federation is assigned the Federal status.

The forum is organized by the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs, the Government of the Orenburg region, and the Federal State Budgetary Institution ‘Resource Youth Center’.
